Ambassadors of Rock Battle of the Bands

Over 150 bands entered Hard Rock's Ambassadors Of Rock Battle Of The Bands at Hard Rock Cafes all over North America. First, a winner was crowned from each qualifying battle. The qualifying bands slugged it out and a winner was declared for each participating city. Then, those winners were put before a panel of discerning experts that included Head Judge Little Steven of the legendary E Street Band and freshly minted Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, DJ Nick Horn, Live Nation VP Toby Leighton-Pope, and SPIN editor Doug Brod. Hailing from Atlanta, GA, Rudy Vaughn endured through every phase of Hard Rock's Ambassadors Of Rock Battle Of The Bands. Conquering the battles at Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta in the first two rounds, surviving the esteemed judging panel in the semi-final round, and taking the popular vote online in the final round, Rudy Vaughn won a much-deserved spot at Hard Rock Calling in London's Hyde Park. At the end of June, they'll be playing on the same bill as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Neil Young, Dave Matthews Band, The Killers, and many more! We're hooking up Rudy Vaughn with round-trip airfare, three nights in a first-class hotel, spending cash, and putting them onstage to rock thousands of music fans at one of the best festivals in the world. Yeah, we think that's pretty cool, too. We're also sending along a few of the folks from Rock 100.5, who did such an amazing job of promoting the band and the Battle Of The Bands competition over the airwaves in Atlanta. From the fans to the bands, we want to thank everyone who voted and participated in Hard Rock’s Ambassadors Of Rock Battle Of The Bands. The phenomenal response during every part of the competition continues to amaze us.
